Beginners can enjoy the gentle nursery slopes of Sitnyakovo 1 ski run. The friendly, fluent in foreign languages instructors make learning quick and efficient. Instruction is 4 hours per day, 6 days a week.

Intermediate skiers can also enjoy a very good ski vacation in Borovets. Almost all of the 19 ski runs are suitable for their skills. The choices are wide and varied, with excellent skiing in the exciting Yastrebets area and from the Sitnyakovski chair lift. Advanced skiers and professionals can enjoy the black runs of Markudzhik 2 and 3; also the testing World Cup run, one of the most challenging pistes in Yastrebets Ski Centre. They can also enjoy the exhilarating skiing through the trees and off-piste.

The cross country trails are 35 km long, designed according to the requirements of FIS; at minimum width of 6 m. Borovets also offers biathlon facilities for training and competitions. Ski jumping is available in Central Borovets Ski Centre. Night skiing on lighting is available opposite Rila Hotel every day from 5 pm to 10 pm.

Usually the slopes of Borovets have snow cover from mid December till mid April. No matter if it is snowing or not, the tracks are trampled down every night. Modern machines maintain the excellent condition of the ski runs. This makes skiing on the tracks of Borovets possible from the beginning of December till mid April, regardless of the whims of the weather.
