How to get to Borovets

Borovets is easily accessible from Sofia and the closest town from the resort – Samokov. It is harder to get to Borovets from Plovdiv. There is a regular bus transport from Iug Bus Station in Sofia and from the Bus Station in Samokov (every 30-60 minutes). What is more, during the high season there are many vans starting from Sofia and Samokov. If you are in Sofia, it will take about an hour and 45 minutes to get to Borovets. From Samokov it will take less than half an hour.

Another option is to get to Borovets by car. A high-class road connects the resort to Sofia (70km) and Samokov (12km). Hiring a car will make your travel independent of schedules and times of departure. It will also save you the trouble dealing with unpredictable cabs’ rates. There are many guarded parking lots in Borovets since almost every hotel has a parking lot of its own.
